Aug 15th 1894Dear Son,From the temperature of 103, I should infer that your dear wife has not passed through “a mild form of typhus”, as your Doctor prognosticated. 103 is a remarkably high temperature. If grandma could be of the slightest use to dear May she would be willing to start for Streetsville tomorrow but you know well how to “hittle” her. We sympathize with your dear wife from the bottom of our hearts, and pray for her speedy and perfect recovery.As to Rob, we can not conceive how you should think it possible that his coming here alone could cause us the least degree of trouble. He certainly would add to our pleasure and happiness; let him come by all means; and do you, under no circumstances be induced, or persuaded to leave May at all, but stay with her until you can bring her here, once here, should you have to speedily return home, you can leave her with safety.
