Recorder’s Office,
PERRY COUNTY,
New Lexington, O.
Sept. 6th 1881

J. E. Bromley
New Straitsville O.

Dear Sir

The Streets are located and named as delineated upon the flats and are each 91 links wide. The alleys are located as delineated on the plat and are each 25 links wide. The space between the Town lots and R.R. is reserved for Street and other purposes, and for said Straitsville Mining Company’s use.

The Street bounding the south has no name marked on the plat, after measuring off 91 links on the Smith for South St which is about 60 feet. The balance, if any between this and R.R. belongs to the S.M. Co.

Yours &c
A.S. Finch

Recorder

Additionally, the marks seen on the left side of the image appear to be measurement annotations. Specifically:

– “91 l/4”
– “6 ft 3”
– “8.3 + 3.4”
– “12.7+ 2.6 = 16.0”
– “9 l/4”
